Comments: Wow! What a great little pattern (free!) and I love love love how it looks in this yarn. I was a little worried that the shiny apple green would not shout “little baby boy!” (as my brother may prefer for his soon to be born boy), but Matt agrees that babies can wear whatever color they want. 🙂
The Nostalgia yarn knits up into a lovely spongy fabric and the label promises machine washability (line dry). The little shiny bit does like to get snagged, but as long as I paid attention, it wasn’t an issue. Once knit up it seems much less snagable. (Yeah, snagable is a word. Sure.)
The cardigan should have little string closures either made of the yarn or ribbon, but I think I may just leave it without – Perfect for the casual baby on the go. What do you all think?
The other day I got my Ravelry invite and let me tell you, it’s super. If you don’t know what Ravelry is, go to the site, check it out, and sign up. It took them a few weeks to get to my name on the waiting list, but it’s worth it. I’ve been having a lot of fun with the site adding my projects and looking at other people’s. My user name is Alyssa – feel free to friend me. 🙂
My Blogiversary Contest is still going on! Thank you to everyone who has entered so far. It’s been fun hearing what books and yarn you love. Go to this post for details. The contest ends midnight Friday (June 8th).

Cute! And thanks for the link – I like the green.
The cardigan looks great, Alyssa. I would leave it plain, without the ties. It’s perfect!
That’s so cute!! I think it looks great without ties – safer that way too!
How cute! Love it and thanks for the pattern link too…I’m tempted to make one too!
I love that cardi, and the color is awesome!!
Very pretty colour, looks lovely and soft and I do love raglan sleeves. I agree with the others, I am not sure you need any closure, they could always be added later if they proved necessary.
That Sweater came out beautiful! I love the color & shape. I think the baby can just work it w/out the closures.
[…] using the solid green Berroco Nostalgia that matches the slightly variegated green I used for the Baby Cardigan. I really like knitting with this yarn! The only problem is I’m not 100% sure if I have […]
I may be late to the party, but wow! I love that sweater and the color is perfectly fine for baby.
